This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

The painting depicts an old, weathered tall ship sailing through the stormy seas. The ship is battered and bruised, but it still sails on, its sails billowing in the wind. The waves are high and the water is rough, but the ship seems to be unfazed.
In the distance, a flock of birds flies overhead, their shadows cast on the water. The sky is overcast and the sun is hidden, but the painting is still bathed in a warm glow. The sepia tones give the painting a sense of antiquity and mystery.
The painting is a reminder of the power of the sea and the mystery of the unknown. It is also a reminder of the human spirit, which is capable of great things, even in the face of adversity.
