A vintage movie poster of ''Strike Up the Band'', a musical film released in 1940. It was directed by Busby Berkeley and starred Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland in the lead roles. The film is a musical comedy that follows the story of a high school student named Jimmy Connors (played by Mickey Rooney) who aspires to form a school band and enter a national music contest.
Here's a brief overview of the plot:
Jimmy Connors is a young and ambitious high school student who is passionate about music. He dreams of forming a school band and participating in the National High School Band Contest in Chicago. To achieve his goal, he enlists the help of his talented friend Mary Holden (played by Judy Garland) and convinces his classmates to join the band.
